Woodsmith Woodworking Seminar Podcasts

It’s time I finally addressed this topic. The seminar podcasts are NOT being discontinued.

As you know, August Home Publishing has branched out into television. The Woodsmith Shop just started its second season, which means our video production crew has been extremely busy taping and editing the shows that you’re now watching. Unfortunately, this means that podcast video production has been put on the back-burner.

We have been taping the seminars at the Woodsmith Store though and as soon as we get caught up, the podcasts will begin again. Thanks for your interest in the podcasts and I apologize for not keeping everyone up-to-date on our progress. Look for a new Woodsmith Seminar Podcast within the next few weeks.

COOL! I’d love to see a podcast dedicated to finishing. Staining, hand rub finish, lacker, poly, wipe on poly, filler, step by step. I’m sure there are a lot more.

That is a good thing since I can’t view the TV version of the Woodsmith Shop. I will assume that the podcast will be video?

This is GREAT news! I’d love to see the Woodsmith Shop TV broadcasts, too. I am a Comcast subscriber in SE Connecticut. Are these available in my area?

Thanks you.

Great News! I love your podcasts. Being from SD, it is very tempting to drive down to IA and be a part on one. If it wasn’t for the podcast, I would have never known about them.

Keep up the great work. I truly appreciate it.

Hi

Living in Spain where woodworking as a hobby is unknown I love the podcasts and learn a lot from them.

A question though… Where has the page for the Seminar Notes gone? I went looking for the notes to episode 30 (3 Basic Router Bits – 17 Mouldings) but just got mage not found…

Thanks and look forward to the new episodes – wish we could get the TV program here!!!

Podcasts will be back soon! Great news!

Since woodworking is part working, learning and sharing, being thousand miles away from IA, your podcasts are an ideal way to learn more and worth watching.

It’s also a great way to put faces on names I see in your magazines since decades.

Thanks.

I echo the sentiments of the other posters.
Your podcast are great, and I really appreciate what you’re doing for those of us who live far away from IA.
Patience is a virtue.

I live in Australia, land of Flood and Bushfire. Someone on Australian Woodwork Forums reccommended and linked to the podcasts a fair while ago, which is how I found out about August Home.

Since then I have subscribed to Shopnotes and Woodsmith and purchased extensive back volumes of both. As others have mentioned, we do not have access to the telvision shows, and the gaps between the podcasts are causing extreme withdrawal symptoms. I too am very that the podcast series has not run out of steam.

Is there any chance of releasing the previous seasons TV shows in some accessible format (DVD, online, ??) for those outside the immdiate broadcast aras?

I, too, am pleased to hear that the podcasts will continue! And I echo the sentiments of other responders that it would be very nice if the Woodsmith Shop show could be made available either online or via DVD; our PBS network in this area (Maine) does not carry the show and when I contacted them with a request to do so, was told that it was not even being considered.

I cannot get the Woodsmith tv show in my area. It would be so great if you could get your episodes on Hulu when they become “old”.
