Podcast #29: Top 5 Shop-Built Router Jigs

Jig plans for cutting circles, adjustable dadoes, and a flush trim jig are included in this week’s Woodsmith Woodworking Seminar Podcast. Bryan Nelson will also give the low down on how to build a hinge mortising jig and a unique router table sled that holds narrow workpieces firmly while routing across end grain.

Check out the Woodsmith Podcast Store for more deals on router bits and the seminar guide.

Just watched your Woodworking Online podcasts #15 and #17. Both were excellent. Are you planning on making these podcasts available in High Definition? I’m also a fan of “The Wood Whisperer (Apple TV HD) not only because of the content but also the high-quality video. Just a thought. Keep up the good work.

Harry,

Sorry for the delay in replying to your post Harry. There are no plans at this time to film the podcasts in hi-def. Our new TV show “Woodsmith Shop,” available at PBS stations across the U.S., is filmed in high definition. Be sure to check it out.

Jay,

I watched the video podcast online as a streaming video and the Quicktime version from iTunes and didn’t have any trouble with either. How fast of a connection do you have? If you’re streaming with a dial-up connection there will lots of starts and stops while the feed buffers.

If some of these plans are supposed to be free then why can’t you view them in a printable version?????????????????????

Mr. Davis,

We provide everyone who attends our seminars a guide that often has plans for a jig or project included. There are also jig or project plans available (for a limited time) online at our seminar blog. This helps us save paper!

But by the time the podcast version of the seminar is released, the online downloads are removed and the seminar guide, which includes the bonus downloads, are available for sale from the Woodsmith Podcast store. Hope this helps answer your question.
