A little piece of carpet tape (2 sided) will keep the dowel in place in the v - block. That's what we used to do in shop class at Brooklyn Tech back in the 60's.

Also, instead of cutting down that piece of plywood when attaching the drawer slides, why not have two pieces of plywood. One would be between the lower (big) drawer and the first small drawer and the other between the bottom of the cab and the lower drawer and between the smaller drawers. That way you wouldn't have to keep running back to the table saw and you would have a reusable jig. I like reusable.

Clamping a straight piece of scrap wood on both ends does the same as the clamp and tool guide... but you can do angles.

Cecil,

The videos aren't for sale, but you can download them directly from the website and store them on your computer. That way you would have them forever and could even store them on a CDROM if you'd like.

Phil, we will be offering the handouts for future podcasts starting in the next week or two. Hopefully, we'll also offer handouts for earlier podcasts already online. Note: There will be a small charge for the handouts.

More to come later. -Joel

This was the first time that I viewed a podcast. A great way to see the deomonstrations when one lives too far away to be able to attend in person. This would be great for a part of our woodworker's programs. Is it true that these videos are not available to rent or purchase?
I'll be watching more of these programs.
Thanks!

I really enjoyed the seminar. But, I was wondering if the handouts that you give people in attendance are available on the web?
