Why You Need Hand Planes in Your Shop

Even if you have a shop full of power tools, I’ll show you how hand planes can add a level of craftsmanship to your projects you never thought possible.  We’ll look at how to level an uneven joint, get perfectly flush edge-banding on plywood, smooth a glued-up panel, and much more.

I just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed watching the taping that was made of this seminar. Being that I live in Louisiana and that we have no Woodsmith stores here, your tapings are the only way that I can attend your seminars. Keep up the good work! Thanks for the kind comments! We work hard to put on seminars that folks want to see. Now with the web, we have a broader audience.

We were surprised by the popularity of this particular seminar. It was a packed house and there were a lot of questions about hand planes.
