Jon:
Good to hear from you. I hope you (and anyone else reading this) are having a good summer. Stay cool in this heat! (Who's got an air-conditioned shop?)

I wrote the article and organized the photos of my bent lamination table a few weeks ago. Then Joel divided it into 5 segments and did his "magic" and got it on this blog. (Thanks, Joel!) We'll look into seeing if the final compilation could be a download or not. If not, you can always just print out copies of each week's segment and then put them all together. Also, as I mentioned, the editor of Woodsmith is interested in featuring the table some time in the future. But that could take awhile.

Interesting that you should ask about the fall line-up of seminars as I just started working on that yesterday. If you are a Seminar "Regular," you might be a bit disappointed as many of the fall seminars will be repeats of our most popular seminars from the past. I'm always trying to get new people into the hobby, so I tend to cater to them and repeat the "basics." Having said that, I firmly believe that every time you go to a seminar, even if you have been to that one before, you can pick up some new little tip! Or ask some good question that has never been asked before. I always seem to pick up something, even if I'm teaching.

I will probably start off on September 28th with "How to Get Started in Woodworking." We've got a couple of new seminars we're developing that will probably come in late October or early November. Tentatively they are titled "Why You Need Hand Planes in Your Shop" and "Things They Didn't Teach You in H.S. Shop Class." Since I'm going to teach that last one, suggestions would be welcome!

We will try to get the complete schedule online in the next few weeks once I've lined up all the speakers.

Doug/ Joel,

Thanks for the article. I have anxiously been waiting for this series of articles since Doug brought these tables into his last seminar.

I am not yet ready to take on a project like this, but would like to attempt something like this in the future. Is there any way, once all of the articles have been completed, that I could get a downloadable version to keep as a reference?

Do you know yet what the Fall line-up is going to be for Thursday night seminars?

Look forward to seeing you in the Fall,
Jon
